About the Role
The Engineering Services Department at NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility in Louisiana is seeking a Project Controls professional. The role will plan, manage resources, and schedule all work on the COSMIC contract, coordinating cross‑functional teams to ensure scope delivery and maintain key project milestones from concept through implementation. • Develop, monitor, and update integrated project plans and schedules for efficient execution. • Prepare baseline schedules and schedule basis documents for team approval and master‑schedule integration. • Assess impacts to the critical path and near‑critical activities and report findings. • Monitor schedule deviations, propose corrective actions, and manage variances. • Analyze change orders and task order revisions for cost and schedule impacts. • Load schedules with resources and coordinate with Project Managers for site walks and progress verification. • Prepare and update cost status reports throughout the project life cycle. • Report labor and cost data with project management and accounting for accrual and month‑end reporting. • Compile project closeout documentation to capture historical data. • Apply basic Maximo workflow knowledge and perform related duties as needed. • Publish project and resource allocation schedules to ensure on‑time delivery. • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience. • Minimum three years of experience as a Project Planner or Scheduler. • Experience with tactical and strategic planning. • Proficiency in project management software. • U.S. citizenship with required NASA badge documentation upon hire. • Clear verbal and written communication skills in English. • Valid driver’s license. • Pass pre‑employment background check and drug screening. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. • Preferred knowledge of Federal and NASA regulations and procedures. • Proficient with standard business office software. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities. • Professional oral and written communication skills. • Independent work initiative with sound judgment and diplomacy. • Ability to deliver effective presentations to diverse audiences. • Attention to detail and ability to follow direction.
