About the Role
Through a range of service activities the engineer keeps propulsion, power and management systems operational, overseeing their readiness and compliance with health and safety standards. Work is performed on‑site and includes detailed reporting as well as participation in an emergency on‑call rotation. • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on Rolls‑Royce propulsion, power, IPMS/AMS, and related systems. • Install, commission, and test switchboards and power management systems on vessels. • Provide 24/7 emergency on‑call coverage as part of the service engineer rota. • Diagnose faults using traditional and PC‑based tools and communicate root causes to customers. • Produce timely, high‑quality technical reports detailing work performed and findings. • Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and drive continuous improvement of processes and best practices. • Manage stock control of parts and equipment and perform workshop duties when required. • Travel extensively within the UK, ROI and overseas for training, deployments and support under CONDO arrangements.

What You Bring
The successful candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background, experience with marine switchboards, and proficiency in both traditional and PC‑based diagnostics. A clean full driving licence, passport and willingness to travel extensively across the UK, ROI and overseas—including CONDO deployments—are required. • Hold an Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation & Maintenance or equivalent qualification, or demonstrable industry experience. • Demonstrated experience with marine switchboards, maintenance and diagnostics. • Proficient in MS Office, report writing and basic computer‑based diagnostic software. • Full clean driving licence and valid passport for travel. • Fluent written and spoken English; GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) with competent literacy and numeracy. • Ability to obtain full MoD security clearance and complete CONDO training. • Strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
