About the Role
• Follow all safety policies and procedures • Carry out mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs and fault diagnostics on Sandvik mining equipment • Perform preventative maintenance according to maintenance plans while preserving equipment integrity • Provide feedback to improve maintenance planning efficiency • Record parts usage, equipment monitoring data and time records • Support technicians from other regions and assist in training activities • Conduct machine audits and inspections independently or within a team • Maintain a customer‑service orientation and goal‑driven attitude • Participate in Sandvik Wellness Program for health and wellbeing

What You Bring
The Mount Isa branch is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to maintain and repair the client’s fleet of Sandvik mining equipment both on‑site and in the workshop. The role involves proactive maintenance to maximise machine efficiency, contributing to client productivity and the growth of Sandvik’s support division. The position operates on a FIFO roster of eight days on and six days off, with full product training and support from the specialised product team. Applicants should have a relevant mechanical trade background and be prepared to work in the Mount Isa region. The recruitment process includes pre‑employment medical, reference and police checks, as well as regular onsite drug and alcohol testing.
