About the Role
As a valued member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in providing expert contractual and commercial guidance to Contract and Project Managers, helping to ensure the successful delivery of capital projects within the ENR portfolio. Key responsibilities include building strong relationships with Ventia site teams and stakeholders, developing project control frameworks and contracting strategies, managing contract administration, supporting procurement processes, monitoring securities and variations, assisting with subcontractor payments, preparing financial reports, conducting project health checks, supporting forecasting and KPI tracking, and driving continuous improvement and compliance. • Build and maintain strong relationships with Ventia site teams, support functions, and client stakeholders. • Develop and implement project control frameworks, contracting strategies, and execution plans aligned with Ventia procedures. • Manage all aspects of contract administration for assigned projects. • Support procurement processes, including subcontractor onboarding, contract drafting, and governance approvals. • Monitor contract securities, insurances, variations, delays, extensions of time, and claims through to resolution. • Assist Project Managers with subcontractor payment assessments and approvals. • Prepare and present financial and contractual reports for internal and external stakeholders. • Conduct project health checks, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend mitigation strategies to the Commercial Manager. • Support project forecasting, cost control, and revenue re‑estimation. • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse variances, and implement corrective actions. • Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with all contractual and procedural requirements.

What You Bring
The Opportunity: Are you an experienced Contract Administrator looking for your next challenge? Join our Infrastructure Services – Energy Networks and Renewables (ENR) team, where you’ll support a diverse portfolio of ongoing projects across Australia. The preferred location for this role is North Sydney, though we welcome candidates based in Melbourne or Brisbane. Some travel to offices and project sites nationwide may be required. To succeed, you should have significant experience as a Contracts Administrator or Contract Specialist, ideally in the ENR sector on capital projects, a degree in Business, Construction Management or Law, excellent communication and negotiation skills, a proactive solution‑focused mindset, strong teamwork and resilience, the ability to manage multiple priorities, advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, and preferably experience with SAP, Ariba and Power BI. • Significant experience as a Contracts Administrator or Contract Specialist, preferably within the ENR sector on capital projects. • Degree in Business, Construction Management, or Law (highly desirable). • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. • Proactive, solution‑focused mindset with strong teamwork and resilience. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP, Ariba, and Power BI is desirable.
