About the Role

The Sorter role ensures proper placement and sorting of materials on the conveyor line. Responsibilities include inspecting, sorting, removing contaminants, stacking, feeding wastepaper, cleaning the line, monitoring equipment, following SOPs, reporting safety issues, and attending safety meetings. • Inspect and sort materials by type, size, condition, or paper grade • Remove contaminants from paper and floor • Stack and dump boxes, skids, and totes • Feed wastepaper onto conveyor and clean sorting line • Monitor machine startup and maintain appropriate speed • Follow standard operating procedures for equipment operation and maintenance • Report safety hazards and equipment malfunctions • Attend weekly/monthly safety and operations meetings

What You Bring

Required qualifications are at least three months of relevant work experience. Preferred qualification is a high school diploma or GED. Physical demands include climbing, balancing, repetitive motions, and coordination while working indoors and outdoors, often in inclement weather.
