About the Role

You will join Southern Water’s frontline operations team in Kent, ensuring water‑supply works and pumping stations operate smoothly. The role is critical for maintaining regulatory compliance, protecting the environment and delivering excellent service to customers. You will perform a range of operational duties to keep water‑supply infrastructure running safely and efficiently, supporting compliance, maintenance and incident response. • Perform compliance testing and monitoring of water‑supply assets. • Carry out routine maintenance, including unblocking pumps, screens and valves. • Repair alarm systems and resolve faults promptly. • Monitor, collate and report data for regulatory compliance. • Conduct regular water sampling and maintain sampling equipment. • Safely receive and handle chemical deliveries. • Log maintenance tasks and safety actions using IT systems. • Participate in a standby rota to provide out‑of‑hours incident support.

What You Bring

Essential qualifications are a valid UK manual driving licence, the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and a self‑motivated, reliable attitude.
