Downer’s Energy & Utilities business is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Trade Coach & Internal Auditor to support the North West and East – Central Contract. This full-time permanent position plays a key role in upholding technical performance, safety and regulatory compliance across electrical distribution operations. The role involves regular travel to sites and alternate office locations and can be based in Whanganui, Hawera or New Plymouth. • Trade-qualified professional with experience in electrical distribution or maintenance contracting • Proven ability to coach and mentor technical teams • Deep knowledge of electrical network construction, maintenance and relevant safety codes • Strong communication, observation and reporting capabilities • Proficiency in audit tools, reporting software and digital training platforms • Proactive, detail-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement
