About the Role

This is a 100% travel position responsible for daily tasks that drive construction project success with electrical utilities. You will lead teams, read blueprints, estimate work, and manage materials, labor, and budgets. Responsibilities also include site acquisition, engineering, compliance, risk management, and enforcing MasTec’s quality and Zero Defect policies. • Lead project teams and guide daily construction tasks. • Read and interpret blueprints to produce accurate estimates. • Manage materials, labor, and budgets to control project costs. • Oversee site acquisition, engineering, and construction compliance. • Conduct risk management, contingency planning, and negotiate resolutions. • Enforce MasTec’s quality and safety programs, including Zero Defect Policy. • Ensure vendor inspections and acceptance of deliverables meet standards.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates are licensed State 01 Journeymen with at least five years of telecom construction experience. Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project), MS Office, and estimating tools is required, as is knowledge of 24VDC/48VDC systems. Strong communication, strategic planning, and collaborative relationship skills are essential, along with the ability to travel continuously for six‑week periods. • Hold a valid State 01 Journeyman license and 5+ years telecom experience. • Proficient with project scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project) and MS Office. • Experience with estimating software and 24VDC/48VDC systems. • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication and strategic planning skills. • Ability to travel 100% with 6‑week assignments.
