About the Role

Function as a Foreman for Bergelectric Corp., monitoring installations and ensuring work aligns with company standards and project specifications. The Foreman collaborates with the general contractor or customer to manage the project schedule, workforce, and overall productivity. This role is considered safety-sensitive and requires adherence to strict safety policies. The Foreman is accountable for maintaining productivity, safety, quality control, labor costs, scheduling, manpower movement, and material procurement to achieve successful project completion. Leadership includes providing notice of crew changes, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a teamwork environment that supports crew morale. The role involves lifting and pulling up to 50 lb, ladder work, wire and conduit pulling, and sustained standing while wearing a 25 lb tool belt. Work is performed in diverse weather conditions and high-noise environments, often from ladders, man lifts, or reach booms. • Achieve productivity objectives by assigning tasks and tracking labor. • Set and monitor project goals continuously. • Manage purchase orders and ensure timely receipt of materials per bulk‑buy procedures. • Follow contract document changes and change order policies. • Utilize prefabrication facility and company installation methods. • Ensure safety equipment, materials, and tools are available onsite. • Notify Superintendent(s) of crew changes in advance. • Proactively anticipate and resolve potential issues. • Ensure crew adheres to shift schedules, meal/break times per handbook and labor laws. • Conduct performance evaluations of crew members. • Maintain complete and accurate as‑built documentation. • Communicate effectively with owners, architects, contractors, management, and crew. • Ensure work complies with NEC, federal, state, local codes and contract documents. • Adhere to all company, state, and federal safety policies. • Provide leadership to foster teamwork. • Monitor crew morale to ensure positive outcomes. • Ensure compliance with Employee Handbook policies. • Lift and pull up to 50 lb, climb ladders, pull wire and conduit. • Work from ladders, man lifts, or reach booms. • Operate in varied weather conditions (cold, snow, rain, heat).

What You Bring

The position requires a minimum of two to four years of field experience as a Journeyman Electrician and a current Journeyman Wireman license where applicable. Candidates must possess strong knowledge of electrical codes, installation methods, and the ability to manage materials, costs, and as-built documentation. • 2–4 years field experience as a Journeyman Electrician. • Current Journeyman Wireman license as required. • Ability to order, track materials, project costs, and create as‑builts. • Knowledge of scheduling, material lead times, product specs, and installation durations. • Strong understanding of electrical codes and installation methods. • Experience installing power systems (lighting, fire protection, security, data networks). • Knowledge of control panel build, installation, and maintenance. • Proficiency with electrical single‑line blueprints. • Experience verifying compliance and functionality of installations. • Ability to identify and repair faults in electrical apparatus and circuits. • Squat, stoop, kneel while wearing a 25 lb tool belt; stand for long periods performing repetitive tasks. • Comply with ADA, OFCCP, Executive Order 11246, Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act, and Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act.
