About the Role
A Driver‑CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck, providing prompt, courteous, complete waste removal services for customers. The driver ensures the vehicle complies with company safety standards before operation, adheres to all company, state and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs) to address defects promptly. Drivers perform thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are functional, and report any safety issues. They operate the truck along assigned routes, follow route sheets and maps, load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of material at designated facilities. Drivers interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers, tagging unsatisfactory containers and monitoring waste for prohibited items. They clean spills, maintain vehicle cleanliness, complete route productivity sheets, VCRs, and other required reports, and uphold productivity standards while following all safety policies and participating in the ReSOP program.

Applicants must hold a Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement. The position offers a union hourly wage of $35.93 and may include a bonus plan.
