Conduct title research, identify defects, and support right‑of‑way project teams.

About the Role
The Right of Way Agent II will support the RES Title team by interpreting legal descriptions, identifying title defects, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate research records. Collaboration with project managers and other RES staff is essential, as is the ability to recognize when issues need to be escalated. • Identify title defects and curative requirements; notify Project Manager, RES Agent, client, title manager, or underwriter. • Prepare project reports and review title document packages. • Maintain accurate records of title research activities. • Collaborate with Project Managers, RES Title Agent 3, RES Tech 3, and RES Agent 3 staff. • Support RES Title Agent 3 in development and train junior staff. • Escalate title issues to RES Agent and Project Manager as needed. • Interpret real estate documents such as appraisals, surveys, deeds, easements, liens, judgments, and other records.

What You Bring
The role requires at least three years of experience in right‑of‑way, title, or related real‑property fields, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office, Webex, and Teams. A relevant degree or certification is preferred, and familiarity with databases, ProjectWise, and GIS is considered a plus. • Read, write, retrace, and interpret legal descriptions (parent parcel, metes and bounds, subdivisions). • Hold a degree or certification in right of way, title, paralegal, real property law, mortgage lending, or equivalent experience; local candidates preferred. • Minimum three years’ experience in right of way, title, paralegal, real property law, or mortgage lending. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong organizational and planning abilities. • Familiarity with databases, ProjectWise, and GIS (a plus). • Proficient with MS Office Suite, Webex, and Teams.
