Senior Civil Engineer

About the Role

• Collaborate with remediation team project managers and cross‑functional AECOM professionals. • Serve as Engineer of Record, sealing and signing reports, drawings, specifications, and regulatory applications. • Lead senior project engineering tasks, overseeing design, schedule, client liaison, reporting, and team coordination. • Develop designs, reports, specifications, and cost estimates for civil and environmental remediation projects (e.g., excavation, landfill, dewatering, stormwater, site restoration). • Utilize CAD tools, preferably Autodesk Civil 3D, to produce technical deliverables. • Identify and implement opportunities to improve project efficiency and technical methodologies. • Mentor junior and mid‑level staff and certify experience for the PE exam.

What You Bring

Successful candidates must hold a BA/BS in Civil Engineering (or related field) with at least six years of experience, be a licensed Professional Engineer in NC (or an EIT planning to obtain a PE), and possess a valid U.S. driver’s license. Preferred qualifications include seven‑plus years at an engineering consulting firm, experience leading large‑scale landfill or dewatering projects, and OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification.
