About the Role

The role focuses on strategic sourcing and commodity management. Responsibilities include planning negotiations, defining award strategies, securing board approvals, negotiating contracts, developing commodity strategies, managing supplier relationships, monitoring performance, driving cost‑out initiatives, and mitigating procurement risks. • Plan negotiations, define award strategy, and obtain sourcing board approvals. • Negotiate local, regional, or multi‑site contracts covering price, delivery, and payment terms. • Contribute to EcoSystem commodity strategy and maintain a preferred supplier list. • Manage relationships with assigned suppliers in alignment with commodity managers. • Represent the customer view in commodity circles to support supplier segmentation. • Analyze market trends and incorporate insights into commodity strategy. • Identify customer requirements and provide input to the sourcing process. • Monitor supplier performance and communicate results to stakeholders. • Generate, document, and implement savings measures while tracking KPIs. • Drive early supplier involvement and cost‑out activities. • Identify procurement risks and opportunities and implement mitigation actions. • Coordinate contractual items with strategic commodity management. • Implement commodity strategies and define local/regional material strategies for non‑pooled commodities. • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships. • Apply commercial, contractual, and project management competence. • Work effectively with a global supplier base in a matrix organization.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates have at least ten years of procurement experience, strong strategic sourcing and commodity management expertise, advanced Excel skills, and proven negotiation abilities. They should be comfortable working in a global matrix environment, building supplier relationships, and communicating with internal stakeholders. A bachelor’s or master’s degree is desirable, French language skills are a plus, and compensation ranges from $40‑$50 per hour. • Provide at least 10 years of overall procurement experience in a global environment. • Demonstrate 10+ years of strategic sourcing/commodity management expertise. • Exhibit outstanding Excel, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. • Understand component manufacturing processes and quality standards. • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree (desirable) and French language skills are a plus.
