About the Role
• Conduct geotechnical field investigations (boreholes, test pits, in‑situ testing) for transportation, municipal, industrial and environmental projects. • Interpret soil, rock and groundwater data and translate findings into practical design recommendations. • Develop geotechnical designs for foundations, earthworks, slopes, retaining structures and buried infrastructure. • Prepare concise technical memoranda and reports to inform client decisions on scope, schedule and investment. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (environmental, structural, transportation, water, etc.) to integrate ground engineering into overall project designs. • Promote sustainable design by considering constructability, materials and long‑term performance. • Participate in project meetings and problem‑solving discussions, contributing an EIT perspective.

What You Bring

Offers for safety‑sensitive field positions are contingent upon the ability to perform key physical tasks in diverse environmental conditions, including remote, isolated or inclement weather situations. • Degree in civil, geological or geotechnical engineering; eligible for Engineer‑in‑Training registration in Canada. • Hands‑on experience in geotechnical or ground engineering through co‑op, internship or early‑career projects. • Ability to work both in the field and office and willingness to travel across the Prairies and the North. • Strong data‑analysis skills, handling logs, lab results and monitoring records to support recommendations. • Proficiency or interest in geotechnical software, analysis, modeling and drafting tools. • Recognition of health, safety and environmental values in all activities.
