About the Role
The Road Mechanic position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet that primarily consists of aerial work platforms, construction tools, and, at specialty locations, large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC and oil‑and‑gas equipment. The role emphasizes safety and aims to minimize equipment downtime while operating in both indoor and outdoor environments. • Work on a variety of makes, models & equipment in challenging remote locations • Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management • May need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade

Experience in roles such as shop mechanic, service foreman, diesel technician, or hydraulic mechanic is considered valuable. • High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired • 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations) • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals • Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment • Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs
