About the Role
The Mechanical Engineer position focuses on hydraulic and actuator system support in a shop‑floor environment, providing ongoing support for multiple projects, tracking tasks, and maintaining deadlines. The role requires reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints, generating repair procedures, and managing configuration of drawings, engineering changes and 3D models. • Support hydraulic and actuator systems on the shop floor. • Provide ongoing project support, track tasks and meet deadlines. • Create weekly status reports of work completed and hours. • Read and interpret drawings and blueprints. • Generate repair procedures from drawings, procedures and specifications. • Manage configuration of drawings, engineering changes and 3D models. • Apply standard work to repair techniques.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and have 5‑7 years of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Experience with traditional manufacturing methods, familiarity with aerospace mechanical components, and proficiency in NX are preferred. The on‑site role is based in Rockford, Illinois, requires personal transportation, the ability to walk extensively and lift up to 40 lb, and does not involve travel. U.S. citizenship is required. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. • 5‑7 years’ experience in manufacturing or aerospace environment. • Interpret design and engineering schematics. • Knowledge of traditional manufacturing methods, practices and materials. • Familiarity with aerospace mechanical components such as hydraulics and actuators. • Preferred experience with NX.
