About the Role
The technician will maintain performance and maintenance records using government inventory and work order systems, perform scheduled preventive maintenance, generate test reports, diagnose and replace defective components, install, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment, and work with a variety of tools, low‑voltage and fiber‑optic cabling, and schematics. • Maintain performance and maintenance records using government inventory and work order databases. • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on IDS, ACS, CCTV, and related subsystems. • Prepare and submit test results and assessment reports for electronic systems. • Diagnose operational defects, identify suitable replacements, and execute repairs. • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/electronic equipment, including controls, power supplies, gauges, and sensors. • Utilize hand and power tools, multimeters, and test equipment safely and effectively. • Pull, terminate, and splice low‑voltage signal, network, and fiber‑optic cables. • Obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance. • Follow federal, state, and agency regulations for electronic security system installation and maintenance. • Prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment while maintaining accuracy and timeliness. • Ensure compliance with safety standards and avoid shortcuts that could create hazards. • Handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.

What You Bring
Parsons is seeking a talented Electronic Maintenance Technician to provide preventive and corrective maintenance, testing, and repair of Intrusion Detection Systems, Access Control Systems, CCTV, and related subsystems under the Integrated Base Defense Security Systems (IBDSS) Next Sustainment contract. Candidates must hold an associate’s degree with at least two years of relevant experience (or five years without a degree), possess knowledge of CCTV, IDS, ACS, and basic networking, and be able to obtain an active Secret security clearance. Desired qualifications include additional certifications, a valid driver’s license, and familiarity with electrical safety, regulatory compliance, and troubleshooting procedures. • Read and interpret as‑built design plans, schematics, and manufacturer documentation. • Adhere to approved work hours, with availability for after‑hour and weekend assignments and site surges. • Possess an associate’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 2+ years (or 5 years) of related experience. • Demonstrate experience with CCTV, intrusion detection, automated access control, and basic networking. • Hold or pursue additional certifications in IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems. • Maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance. • Apply knowledge of basic electricity, electronics, and safety regulations. • Exhibit analytical, detail‑oriented problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. • Communicate effectively and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers. • Use required software and computer systems proficiently and adapt to new tools.
