About the Role
The HVAC Technician 1 role requires professional communication and a polished appearance while delivering portable HVAC equipment to customers. Technicians operate, repair, and prepare equipment in the shop, ensuring it is clean, organized, and safe for rental. The position also supports larger jobs by assisting other technical staff and responding to emergency service calls on a rotating schedule. • Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick‑ups, and service calls. • Deliver and install rented HVAC equipment and train authorized operators on safe use. • Obtain customer signatures on paperwork and track equipment serial numbers. • Troubleshoot operation, specifications, capabilities, and controls of rental equipment. • Operate company vehicle safely and adhere to all safety policies. • Clean and test returned equipment to ensure proper operation and appearance. • Complete paperwork for deliveries, pick‑ups, and service calls. • Install flexible gas hose for propane and natural gas applications. • Implement safe procedures for checking gas connections. • Maintain accurate records of in‑stock and rented equipment with managers and sales engineers. • Provide on‑call emergency service on a rotating weekend and evening schedule. • Provide a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
