About the Role

Key duties include performing pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections, completing Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, and promptly reporting unsafe conditions or service issues. Drivers attend scheduled training, collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiency, dump receptacles cleanly, communicate customer requests, and assist other drivers as needed. • Operate heavy‑duty trucks safely on transfer routes following WM, OSHA, and DOT regulations. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and complete DVIR documentation. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and service interruptions to Operations Manager or Dispatch immediately. • Attend required training, briefings, and meetings; work with Operations Manager to improve route efficiency. • Dump receptacles, leave sites clean, follow route assignments, and complete end‑of‑day paperwork. • Assist fellow drivers as needed to meet customer service goals.

What You Bring

The driver safely operates a heavy‑duty truck on transfer routes, adhering to WM Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws. This role requires consistent route execution and end‑of‑day documentation. Required qualifications are at least one year of CDL‑Class A or B driving experience (or equivalent recent military driving) with an air‑brake endorsement, a minimum age of 18, and legal eligibility to work in the United States. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED. The position entails various physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
