About the Role

The Senior Project Controls Engineer will support both client‑facing and internal project‑control functions, handling community annual budgets, forecasts, and comprehensive reporting. You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure accurate financial planning, monitoring, and risk management across all phases of the project. On the client side, responsibilities include preparing community charge budgets, invoicing plot owners, tracking payments, and identifying budget‑actual variances. You will lead the yearly community audit, maintain a log of service contracts, validate vendor invoices, monitor cost trends, track change requests, and highlight financial and schedule risks. Additionally, you will assist with procurement, prepare scopes of work, evaluate bids, and draft contracts and variation orders for service providers. • Prepare community annual budgets and forecasts for service charges, insurance, CAPEX, and OPEX. • Generate yearly community charge budget schedules, invoices to plot owners, and invoice status reports. • Track and follow up on payments, reporting variances between budget and actuals annually. • Lead the yearly community audit, compiling actual charge schedules and supporting documentation. • Maintain a comprehensive log of service contracts, renewals, and variations, tracking related costs. • Review and validate vendor invoices against contracts and purchase orders; recommend payments. • Monitor cost trends, recommend savings or reallocations, and assess change request impacts. • Identify and communicate financial and schedule risks such as cost overruns or expiring contracts. • Assist with procurement: prepare scopes of work, respond to bidder queries, and evaluate bids. • Draft contracts and variation orders for service providers in coordination with the client. • Support the Project Manager in preparing control statements, monthly invoices, and management reports. • Apply advanced MS Excel skills for detailed financial analysis and reporting.

What You Bring

Required qualifications comprise a bachelor’s degree in engineering, quantity surveying, construction management, finance or a related field, and a minimum of eight years of relevant experience, preferably in Abu Dhabi. Strong project‑control skills in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis are essential, along with advanced MS Excel proficiency, analytical acumen, and excellent communication abilities. Candidates should be based in Abu Dhabi to attend in‑person client interviews.
