About the Role
• Install sanitary, stormwater, leachate, and waterline pipe systems using various materials (concrete, ductile iron, PVC, HDPE, copper, corrugated metal). • Layout pipe routes from written instructions or blueprints and coordinate with supervisors. • Locate existing pipelines and tap/drill holes for auxiliary lines. • Check pipe slopes using levels or lasers to meet specifications. • Dig trenches to required depths with trenching tools or track hoes. • Cut pipes to required lengths and align them for fusion or sealing. • Connect and seal pipe joints using fusing equipment, cement, or glue. • Backfill and cover installed pipes with earth or other materials. • Operate heavy equipment for soil removal and replacement. • Determine trench grades with lasers and transit levels. • Operate cutting equipment and small powered tools (e.g., tampers). • Cut, fit, and seal various pipe types. • Apply logical problem‑solving to compare site conditions with project designs. • Read blueprints and project documents. • Use email, smartphones, tablets, or computers for document management. • Maintain acceptable attendance per company policy.

What You Bring
Candidates should have at least one year of construction experience, a high‑school education (preferred), and the ability to read blueprints, operate heavy and cutting equipment, and communicate effectively with crew members. They must be able to determine trench grades with lasers or levels, operate small powered tools, and maintain acceptable attendance. • Experience fusing HDPE piping. • Communicate effectively with crew members. • Minimum one year of construction‑related experience (roads, highways, bridges). • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
