Programme Lead Utility Diversions

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Programme Lead to manage teams of senior direct reports, provide effective leadership, and champion a culture of continuous improvement throughout all activities. • Coordinate and deliver a major programme, implement strategies, provide direction and monitor progress against vision and objectives. • Define and implement the programme delivery environment, including people, organisation, processes, information and technology. • Assemble the right project team with necessary skills, experience and technical competency, including external specialists. • Optimize resources and improve performance from the bid baseline by reviewing activities, systems and methodologies. • Act as the public face of the programme, chair executive steering group meetings and engage external stakeholders. • Maintain exceptional standards in safety, quality, cost, sustainability, governance, risk, stakeholder management and compliance. • Oversee development and maintenance of programme documentation such as plans, reports, registers and lessons learned. • Build and nurture a high‑performing, inclusive team environment that encourages contribution and recognition. • Align the programme team with the wider business strategy and promote related initiatives. • Ensure commercial and ethical viability of operations, support business objectives and meet legislative compliance. • Create opportunity – champion continuous improvement and inspire people to excel.
