About the Role
Join the Utilities/Energy team of design professionals that provides feasibility studies, detailed engineering design, surveying, permitting, land acquisition, asset management, construction management, and more for renewable energy, oil and gas, electric transmission and distribution, and substations. The company is committed to delivering safe and sustainable solutions and aims to accelerate each employee’s success. • Collaborate with a team on diverse SUE projects • Read and interpret utility records, as‑built, survey drawings and highway design plans • Designate existing utilities using electromagnetic and geophysical technologies • Operate and drive a vacuum excavation truck, performing test holes to expose utilities • Implement appropriate traffic maintenance • Process “One‑Call” tickets • Coordinate survey work with SUE activities • Supervise field crew activities • Train junior crew members • Represent Colliers Engineering & Design in the field and liaise with utility companies

What You Bring
• Minimum 2 years experience with electromagnetic and geophysical designating technologies • Experience with vacuum excavation preferred • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and software • Basic computer skills and strong communication/collaboration abilities • Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather and walking several miles daily • Willingness to travel, work overtime, nights/weekends, and lift equipment up to 80 lb • Clean driving record and good driving skills • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English for job communications

Benefits
Compensation ranges from $27.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. The position requires a pre‑employment drug screen and ongoing participation in the employer’s random drug and alcohol testing program.
