About the Role
The Senior Cost Manager – Project and Development Services (Corporate Solutions) role is based in Pune/Mumbai, India. You will work side‑by‑side with cost managers to ensure project success from pre‑design through completion, assembling and leading multidisciplinary teams. You will steer projects by establishing organisational structures, project objectives and working procedures, and by allocating clear cost plans and budgets to achieve optimal results and target profits. You will also attend project meetings, develop monthly reports and handle contract administration. Your cost‑management responsibilities include preparing BOQs, performing quantity take‑offs, conducting cost analysis for line items, benchmarking specifications, and applying sound civil/MEP technical knowledge. You will oversee procurement, negotiate with vendors, and finalise commercial terms. You will support the construction manager with installation oversight, site inspections and contractor management, and you will drive value‑engineering, design‑change management and quality‑control initiatives. Monthly cost reports, cash‑flow analysis and earned‑value tracking will be part of your deliverables. Implementing and maintaining cost‑control systems, you will track budgets, commitments, expenditures and forecasts, evaluate contractor invoices, and utilise SAP (or similar) data for reporting and validation. You will also build intricate spreadsheets to manipulate large data sets and create a clean audit trail. In the pre‑contract phase you will develop cost plans, provide commercial input to design optioneering and value‑engineering, review pricing and lead negotiations. Post‑contract you will perform quantity surveying, manage change orders, audit cost variances, produce final accounts and compile as‑built cost records for benchmarking. • Lead multidisciplinary project teams from pre‑design through completion. • Develop and manage project cost plans, budgets and financial forecasts. • Prepare BOQs, quantity take‑offs and perform cost analyses and benchmarking. • Oversee procurement, vendor negotiations and finalise commercial contracts. • Support construction managers with site inspections, installation oversight and contractor coordination. • Implement cost‑control systems, track expenditures and validate invoices using SAP. • Generate monthly cost reports, cash‑flow analysis and earned‑value assessments. • Create complex spreadsheets for accurate data manipulation and audit trails. • Pre‑contract: develop cost estimates, provide commercial input to design options and lead pricing negotiations. • Post‑contract: conduct quantity surveying, manage change orders, audit cost variances and produce final accounts.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a degree in a relevant property‑related discipline, has extensive experience in design, construction and cost management, and a proven track record in profit planning, business development, networking and marketing.
