About the Role

The opportunity is for a Mechanical Designer / Junior Mechanical Engineer on our Property & Buildings team. You will support planning, design, and delivery of building mechanical systems and energy infrastructure, gaining hands‑on experience with HVAC, central plants, and district energy under senior mentorship. • Prepare mechanical drawings and models in Revit and AutoCAD for HVAC and building systems. • Develop equipment layouts, piping and ductwork drawings, schedules, and details. • Perform basic engineering calculations and assist with equipment selection. • Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and civil teams. • Assist with shop drawing reviews, RFIs, site documentation, and construction‑phase support. • Support central plant and district energy projects through system layouts and coordinated documentation. • Incorporate markups and design changes; occasional local site travel. • Foster collaboration.

What You Bring

• Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma from an accredited institution. • 1–3 years of consulting or mechanical design experience (co‑op, internship, or full‑time). • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD; BIM coordination knowledge is an asset. • Understanding of HVAC systems, building services, mechanical design principles, and building codes. • Ability to work within defined scopes, schedules, and budgets with strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
