About the Role

The Senior Sales Trainer develops, coaches, and enables sales performance for the Closets and Garages businesses, partnering closely with the Regional Sales Manager to ensure new hires are fully onboarded, trained, and field‑ready. This hands‑on role blends classroom and in‑field training, process discipline, and performance improvement to drive consistency and execution across the territory. Key responsibilities include owning the new‑hire training program, delivering comprehensive sales, product, and design training, coordinating class logistics, tracking onboarding progress, conducting skill‑gap analysis, and providing ongoing coaching through ride‑alongs and shadowing. The trainer also supports designers in the field, creates training materials and SOPs, assists with product rollouts, and partners with Operations to align training with install and service expectations. • Own and execute the new‑hire sales training program for Closets and Garages. • Deliver training on sales process, product knowledge, design fundamentals, objection handling, closing techniques, systems usage, and paperwork standards. • Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to ensure new hires are field‑ready before taking appointments. • Coordinate training class logistics, including accommodations, meals, documentation, and sales kits. • Track onboarding progress, system access, software setup, and training resources. • Conduct skill‑gap analysis, develop training materials, and evaluate training effectiveness. • Lead ongoing sales, design, and process training to improve close rates, average ticket, and design accuracy. • Provide paperwork training and quality control, including spot‑checking designs and job documentation. • Support designers in the field with design questions, technical errors, and product specifications. • Identify Design Consultants needing additional support and deliver targeted coaching and improvement plans. • Perform ride‑alongs, shadowing, and follow‑up coaching to reinforce standards and expectations. • Maintain a strong field presence to observe customer interactions and model best practices. • Act as an extension of the Regional Sales Manager to reinforce accountability and execution standards. • Support sales‑related projects such as playbooks, SOPs, sales tools, scripts, presentations, and job flow improvements. • Assist with rollouts of new products, pricing, programs, and sales initiatives. • Partner cross‑functionally with Operations to align training with install and service expectations. • Provide administrative support within ClosetPro, including backend functionality and process support. • Stay current on market trends, product updates, and corporate sales environment changes. • Assist with scheduling, prioritization, hiring input, and performance feedback as needed. • Achieve territory net sales, net close percentage, average ticket, and sales‑per‑lead issue targets. • Reduce service rate caused by sales‑team errors such as paperwork mistakes and incorrect measurements. • Improve training quality metrics: time‑to‑first sale, 60‑day KPI attainment, and 180‑day graduate retention.
