About the Role

System engineering is a cross-functional discipline that develops solutions meeting business needs and technical requirements for both internal and external customers. As a System Engineer you will act as the integrator among engineering disciplines and be directly responsible for the fluid-system design of auxiliary equipment. In this role you will define system architecture and drive process integration for trains comprising gas turbines, centrifugal compressors and generators. You will ensure engineering deliverables meet quality and schedule expectations, support testing, site installation and service, and balance design flexibility with standard configuration adoption. • Develop and finalize main auxiliary systems design documents (P&IDs, load list, utility list, etc.). • Conduct HAZOP meetings, SIL reviews and alarm rationalization with senior guidance for safety and asset integrity. • Create predictive system designs using modeling and simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink, FloMaster, and Hysys. • Perform sizing calculations for control valves (ISA 75), safety valves (API 520/521), lines, on‑off valves, filters, orifices (ISO 5167), instruments, and seal systems (API 692/614). • Organize system design reviews with seniors, ensuring actions are mitigated, completed on time and with quality. • Collaborate closely with project engineers and other departments to ensure smooth project execution. • Build expertise in turbomachinery operation and auxiliary system design. • Contribute technical expertise to new energy solutions such as hydrogen, CO₂, CCUS and energy storage. • Establish relationships with Engineering, Procurement and Field Service functions within the IET organization. • Attend technical meetings with customers and suppliers, providing support to testing and supply chain teams. • Maintain external and internal interfaces to ensure customer requirements are understood and met. • Execute flawless design activities, including technical alignment with suppliers. • Participate in innovative idea generation, product improvement and Kaizen initiatives. • Act as primary contact for resolution of all Gas Turbine Mechanical Level 3 (L3) cases across GT product lines and centrifugal compressors, ensuring timely delivery and quality per KPIs. • Facilitate collaboration with customers, site teams and cross‑functional engineering groups to develop effective corrective actions. • Present NCM trends and resolution status during Quality Monthly Reviews, focusing on critical case analysis. • Drive identification of actionable insights and oversee implementation of solutions to prevent issue recurrence. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary internal and external engineers to achieve targeted outcomes and maintain high performance. • Support implementation of the Non‑Conformity Management (NCM) Reduction Framework targeting a 25% YoY reduction, overseeing loop‑back, containment and preventive actions while securing technical approvals. • Work with the configuration team to ensure effective adoption of preventive actions. • Facilitate technical training and lessons‑learned sharing to enhance team expertise and cross‑functional skill development.
