About the Role
Key responsibilities include creating and supporting IT plans aligned with departmental goals, providing support and maintenance for IT infrastructure—including networks, telecommunications, hardware, servers, software, and databases—and evaluating and implementing new processes and technologies to improve system performance and efficiency. The technician will also support IT planning activities such as risk identification and lifecycle tracking, and assist with managing IT requests, projects, and system or infrastructure enhancements. • Create and support IT plans aligned with departmental goals. • Maintain IT infrastructure, including networks, telecommunications, hardware, servers, software, and databases. • Evaluate and implement new processes and technologies to improve performance. • Identify risks and track lifecycle of IT assets. • Manage IT requests, projects, and system or infrastructure enhancements. • Attend health and safety trainings and perform risk assessments before tasks. • Report hazards and wear required personal protective equipment.

What You Bring
The role requires adherence to Sandvik’s Environmental, Health & Safety policy, including attending health and safety trainings, performing risk assessments before tasks, identifying and reporting hazards, and wearing required personal protective equipment. Candidates should have a college or university education in Information Technology or a related field, 2‑5 years of direct IT support experience, and strong organizational and communication skills. Required technical knowledge includes Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, networking, cybersecurity, and computer hardware; experience with Workday and Dayforce is an asset, and bilingual ability in French and English is preferred. • Hold a college or university degree in Information Technology or related field. • Possess 2‑5 years of direct IT support experience. • Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, networking, cybersecurity, and computer hardware. • Experience with Workday and Dayforce is considered an asset. • Bilingual in French and English.
