About the Role
The Operations Manager leads teams, plans and executes operations at an assigned location or business unit, ensuring all activities are safe, compliant, and efficient in line with the company’s objectives, policies, and procedures. The role also ensures projects, initiatives, and processes meet federal, state, and local regulations. Key responsibilities include providing technical support to management and staff, participating in site evaluations, preparing detailed quotes with scopes of work, price estimates, and contingencies, and recommending workflow and project‑management improvements. The manager works with governmental and regulatory agencies, maintains community relations, ensures proper staffing and training, and supports budget development and capital‑expenditure reporting. The Operations Manager develops and monitors metrics to measure operational objectives, controls costs to maintain competitiveness, protects company assets through facility maintenance, and supports licensing activities. They also implement company policies, meet customer quality and service expectations, mentor staff, act as a subject‑matter expert, and lead cross‑functional project teams.

What You Bring
Preferred qualifications include thorough knowledge of complex environmental waste regulations, management principles, analytical and problem‑solving skills, and familiarity with industrial safety, hazardous‑waste treatment, storage, and disposal. Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as the ability to work under pressure and exercise independent judgment, are essential. Minimum qualifications require at least five years of progressively responsible experience in hazardous‑waste management, including three years in a supervisory role. Candidates must demonstrate technical aptitude and detail‑orientation.
