About the Role
Function as a Foreman for Bergelectric Corp., monitoring installations and ensuring work aligns with company standards and project specifications. Collaborate with the general contractor or customer to manage the project schedule, employees, productivity, safety, quality control, labor costs, manpower movement, and material procurement. This role is classified as safety‑sensitive. The foreman oversees crew productivity, sets and tracks project goals, handles purchase orders, adheres to contract changes, utilizes prefabrication facilities, and ensures proper safety equipment and tools are available. He/she maintains accurate as‑built documentation, conducts performance evaluations, communicates with owners, architects and contractors, and promotes teamwork, morale, and compliance with codes and safety policies. Work is performed outdoors in varied weather conditions—including cold, snow, rain, and heat—and may involve high noise levels. • Achieve productivity objectives by managing and assigning tasks to crew members while maintaining an accurate labor tracking log. • Establish project goals and continuously monitor progress toward them. • Manage purchase orders and ensure timely receipt of materials in accordance with bulk‑buy procedures. • Adhere to contract document changes and Bergelectric change‑order and notice‑to‑proceed policies. • Utilize the prefabrication facility and company‑wide installation methods and policies. • Ensure proper safety equipment, materials, and tools are onsite for required work. • Provide Superintendent(s) with sufficient notice of any crew changes. • Proactively anticipate and resolve potential issues. • Ensure crew members start and finish shifts on time and maintain proper meal/break times per the Employee Handbook and local labor laws. • Conduct effective performance evaluations of crew members. • Maintain complete and accurate as‑builts according to company procedures and project requirements. • Communicate effectively with owners, architects, general contractors, management, and crew members. • Ensure all work complies with NEC, federal, state, county, local codes, and contract documents. • Follow all Bergelectric, state, and federal safety policies and procedures. • Provide leadership to foster a teamwork environment in all job responsibilities. • Monitor and support employee/crew morale to achieve positive outcomes. • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures in the Bergelectric Employee Handbook.

What You Bring
Candidates must have 2‑4 years of field experience as a Journeyman Electrician, a current Journeyman Wireman license where required, and demonstrated ability to order and track materials, project costs, and produce as‑builts. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, scheduling, power‑system installations, control panels, and ability to read single‑line blueprints are essential. The position requires lifting and pulling up to 50 lb, climbing ladders, pulling wire and conduit, squatting, stooping, kneeling while wearing a 25 lb tool belt, and standing for long periods performing repetitive hand motions. Work may be performed from ladders, man lifts, or reach booms. • Minimum of two to four years of field experience as a Journeyman Electrician. • Current Journeyman Wireman license where required by state, city, or county. • Ability to order and track materials, perform cost projections, and develop as‑builts. • Strong knowledge of scheduling, material lead times, product knowledge, and installation durations. • Solid understanding of electrical codes and installation methods. • Experience installing power systems such as lighting, fire protection, security, and data networks. • Knowledge of control panel build, installation, and maintenance. • Proficiency in using Electrical Single Line blueprints. • Experience verifying compliance and functionality of installations. • Ability to identify and repair faults in electrical apparatus and circuits.
