About the Role
The Cleaner (2nd Shift) reports to the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and performs custodial duties for C&W Services in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures. Key responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and washing interior floors, operating light and heavy commercial floor buffers, and vacuuming rugs in offices and public areas. The role also involves spot cleaning and shampooing rugs, dusting furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces, and performing periodic high‑dusting. Additional tasks cover cleaning interior windowsills, glass, doors, partitions, and specified windows, as well as washing entrance door glass and trim. Bathroom maintenance, trash collection, liner replacement, snow removal, and periodic high‑dusting, leather and wood polishing, and wall washing are also required. • Sweep, mop, and wash interior floors using manual methods and commercial floor buffers. • Vacuum rugs and carpets in offices and public areas; spot clean and shampoo rugs as directed. • Dust and clean furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces; perform periodic high‑dusting. • Wash interior windowsills, glass, doors, partitions, and specified windows; clean entrance door glass and trim. • Clean and maintain bathrooms daily, restocking supplies, wiping glass, emptying waste baskets, and reporting defects. • Collect and dispose of building trash, replace liners, and manage waste containers per specifications. • Remove snow and ice from steps and walkways as needed. • Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood polishing, and wall washing. • Operate cleaning equipment safely, including backpack‑style portable vacuum cleaners. • Follow safety and quality standards while working independently and as part of a team.
