About the Role
Key duties are performed according to standard work and control plans and include machine set‑up, change‑over, operating electro‑mechanical equipment, producing quality parts, and inspecting them to product specifications. The operator maintains machine uptime and yield, completes preventive maintenance, troubleshoots issues, and participates in continuous‑improvement activities. Additional responsibilities involve generating ideas, applying 5S principles, performing ERGO stretches, working safely, reporting hazards, and conducting housekeeping tasks. • Set up, change over, and operate rotary vacuum forming machines and associated robotic trim, pack‑out, and glue stations. • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment to sustain uptime and yield. • Inspect produced parts against DS‑500 specifications to ensure quality acceptance. • Follow standard work, 5S, and visual workplace standards; conduct housekeeping and ERGO stretches. • Identify and implement continuous‑improvement ideas using Lean tools. • Report hazards or unsafe actions through Delta’s standard procedures. • Read and interpret safety rules, specifications, work instructions, and ERP/MPS systems. • Apply basic math and reasoning to follow instructions and understand reports.

What You Bring
Education and experience requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior machine experience preferred. Candidates need strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, a willingness to work necessary overtime, the ability to lift up to 50 lb, and certifications in confined spaces and fall protection—or the willingness to obtain them. Acceptable attendance and disciplinary records are required, and the employee must be capable of working independently with limited supervision. The position demands competencies such as reading and interpreting safety rules, specifications, standard work instructions, and systems like MPS, SFM, QMS, and ERP. Basic mathematical abilities for calculations and reasoning skills to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions are essential, as is the capacity to understand basic reports and daily business requirements. Physical demands include regularly standing, walking, using hands, and reaching, with occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 40 lb. The work environment may expose the employee to moving equipment, fumes, and moderate noise levels. Benefits
Specialty Operator 5 – Bathing 2nd shift offers a pay range of $24.90 to $26.45 depending on hire date, plus a shift differential. The role is responsible for the setup and operation of a rotary vacuum forming machine, including vacuum forming, robotic trim, pack‑out, and glue applications. The operator must support Lean manufacturing initiatives and apply tools such as Shop Floor Management, the Masco Operating System, and core company values.
