About the Role

The Human Resources Generalist supports the Area HR Manager and the broader HR team by handling a range of HR tasks, from employee relations and performance management to maintaining records in the corporate HRIS. The role also manages onboarding and off‑boarding processes, prepares necessary paperwork, and assists with scheduling interviews, meetings, and training sessions. In addition to core HR duties, the Generalist contributes to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, helps prepare affirmative‑action plans, and provides basic benefits guidance. Recruitment responsibilities include creating requisitions, coordinating interview logistics, managing career‑fair activities, and tracking intern hiring from start to finish. • Assist the Area HR Manager and HR team with various HR tasks. • Coordinate employee relations and performance‑management inquiries. • Maintain employee records and process personnel actions using the corporate HRIS. • Conduct new‑hire onboarding and employee off‑boarding procedures. • Provide completed employee paperwork to the corporate office. • Prepare location affirmative‑action plans and outreach initiatives. • Schedule and coordinate interviews, presentations, meetings, and conference calls. • Review employee queries periodically for accuracy. • Coordinate compensation market studies with managers and corporate HR. • Answer basic policy and procedure questions. • Support professional‑development training coordination for staff. • Guide matrix business partners and employees on employee‑relations matters. • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion functions and initiatives. • Assist employees with basic benefit plan questions and refer complex issues to the Area HR Manager. • Create employment requisitions, arrange candidate travel, and track hiring‑manager decisions. • Coordinate career‑fair activities and develop related marketing materials. • Administratively manage the intern recruiting process from start to hire.

What You Bring

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field and three to five years of HR experience. Required skills include proficiency with MS Office, strong written and verbal communication, ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment, and a commitment to the employee‑owned culture. • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, or related field (preferred). • 3–5 years of HR experience (preferred). • Minimum three years of related HR experience (required). • Proficiency with MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. • Excellent verbal and written communication, proofreading, and telephone skills. • Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to handle confidential information. • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with various managers in a fast‑paced environment. • Self‑motivated, well‑organized, and detail‑oriented.
