About the Role

The role provides testing and consulting services for the built environment, including property and facility condition assessments, facility needs assessments, and pre‑ and post‑construction and accessibility surveys. The incumbent will lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and project managers, oversee project delivery, and manage proposals and departmental financial performance. Additional duties include driving business development initiatives and supporting recruitment and staffing efforts. • Conduct property/facility condition and needs assessments, pre/post‑construction and accessibility surveys. • Lead and mentor a team of facilities due‑diligence engineers, architects, and project managers. • Oversee projects, review technical reports, prepare proposals, and manage departmental P&L. • Solve day‑to‑day project problems independently with minimal executive direction. • Review technical deliverables, invoices, and field reports for accuracy. • Train, supervise, and serve as a technical resource for junior staff. • Drive business development initiatives within the operating group. • Assist with recruiting and maintaining adequate staffing levels.

What You Bring

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree required; B.Arch or M.Arch (NAAB) or BS in Engineering/Building Science preferred. • Minimum 8 years of due‑diligence/building facilities consulting experience. • Proven experience with property/facility condition and needs assessments. • Registered Architect or Professional Engineer licensure is a plus.
