About the Role

Apply paint and coating to various manufactured products, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets industry standards. The Manufacturing Painter prepares surfaces, selects appropriate paint materials, applies coatings using different techniques, and keeps the workspace clean and organized. This role works closely with production teams to align with schedules and quality requirements. The painter cleans, sands, repairs, and masks surfaces before painting, mixes paints to achieve the correct color and consistency, and applies coatings while monitoring environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature. They inspect finished surfaces for defects, perform touch-ups, and conduct quality checks to meet established standards. Equipment maintenance, minor troubleshooting, and adherence to safety protocols are also essential parts of the job. The position requires regular collaboration with production crews, communicating paint needs and any challenges, and maintaining accurate records of paint usage, formulas, and work performed. All quality issues and corrective actions are documented to support continuous improvement. • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and repairing defects. • Select appropriate paint type, color, and mix to required consistency. • Apply coatings using spray techniques while monitoring humidity and temperature. • Inspect finishes for defects and perform touch-ups as needed. • Conduct quality checks to ensure standards are met. • Clean and maintain spray equipment and painting booths. • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on painting equipment. • Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear. • Properly dispose of paint waste according to regulations. • Coordinate with production teams to meet schedules. • Communicate paint requirements and issues to supervisors. • Keep accurate records of paint usage, formulas, and work performed. • Document quality issues and corrective actions.

What You Bring

A high school diploma or GED is required, with six months of painting experience preferred. Candidates should possess knowledge of paint types, colors, application techniques, and equipment, strong attention to detail, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, basic safety awareness, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn new methods. The work environment demands physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 lb, and exposure to loud noises, dust, chemical fumes, and varying temperatures.
