Grill Cook (Part-Time)

About the Role

The Grill Cook performs culinary duties and maintains a clean, organized, professional work area at all times. The role ensures guests receive the highest standards of food taste and presentation, assists in training new staff to meet HGVC standards, and orders food stock and prepares backup items according to menu specifications. A commitment to the service culture is expected toward guests and team members at all times. Additional responsibilities include tracking meal preparation components to ensure timely completion, chopping and preparing vegetables and other non‑meat ingredients, and checking perishable items for freshness. The cook prepares, seasons, and cooks starches, vegetables, and side hot foods, measures and mixes ingredients per recipe, and prepares backup foods according to specifications while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Duties also cover proper food storage, ticketing and dating items, recording refrigeration temperatures, reporting spoilage, overseeing grill and pantry operations, stewarding duties, monthly inventory assistance, and handling special projects as requested by management.
