About the Role
The Project Engineer supports construction and field execution using company best practices, handling tasks from general construction management to punch‑list completion and self‑perform work. The role aligns with JE Dunn’s strategy, vision, and values. • Participate in safety and quality initiatives, fostering an injury‑free work environment. • Assist with QA/QC planning and ensure quality of assigned tasks. • Support estimating and change management, including quantity take‑offs and subcontractor proposal reviews. • Monitor on‑site crew size, self‑perform hours, materials, equipment, and subcontractor performance. • Manage punch lists, city inspections, safety and quality reviews, and prepare related documentation. • Maintain up‑to‑date drawings and specifications and distribute them to the team. • Organize and lead project meetings, preparing and sharing required documentation. • Produce daily and weekly project reports, including progress, manpower, production schedules, and equipment tracking. • Conduct periodic job‑site observations with project leadership. • Create and update procurement logs, track shop drawings, and follow up on deliveries. • Provide progress updates to support scheduling and assist with project close‑out documentation such as as‑built drawings and O&M manuals. • Apply company best‑practice construction standards, develop relationships with tradespeople and team members, and incorporate Lean practices.

What You Bring
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience), and entry‑level construction experience. Key abilities include accurate, timely work, strong verbal and written communication, MS Office proficiency, knowledge of Lean processes, construction technology, self‑perform labor productivity, and the ability to build collaborative relationships. The work environment may involve lifting up to 50 lb, travel or relocation, non‑traditional hours, and exposure to extreme temperatures. Physical activities include standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching above shoulder, as well as occasional sitting at a computer.
