About the Role
The Subcontracts Administrator is responsible for overseeing all procurement and administrative activities related to subcontracting, from initial solicitation through contract close‑out. The role requires strong problem‑solving abilities, industry knowledge, and the capacity to apply best practices in both field and office settings. This position is onsite at the Blount Island military installation. Key duties include managing the subcontract lifecycle, issuing and evaluating requests for proposals, qualifying suppliers, and maintaining accurate subcontract files in compliance with established procedures. The administrator also applies continuous‑improvement techniques, resolves subcontractor claims, and leverages procurement software to streamline processes. • Manage the full subcontract lifecycle from pre‑award to close‑out. • Issue RFPs, evaluate proposals, and qualify suppliers. • Maintain compliant subcontract files and documentation. • Apply problem‑solving and industry knowledge to improve processes. • Negotiate terms and communicate effectively with stakeholders. • Ensure adherence to government contract compliance requirements. • Resolve subcontractor claims and disputes. • Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. • Utilize procurement software or contract management systems.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and have at least two years of subcontract administration or related procurement experience. Required skills include a solid grasp of procurement processes, strong negotiation and communication abilities, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred qualifications include prior experience with government contracts, familiarity with claim resolution, and proficiency with contract management systems.
