Assist in managing K-12 and municipal construction projects from planning through closeout.

About the Role
The Assistant Project Manager will support public‑sector projects such as K‑12 education, higher education, and municipal initiatives, focusing on master planning, project management, and on‑site coordination. This role requires active participation throughout planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout phases. • Manage project budget, schedule, procurement, quality, and risk across all phases. • Interpret and apply contracts, design standards, programming requirements, and construction documents. • Interface with clients to define and document project requirements. • Assist in planning, scope definition, cost estimating, scheduling, quality control, and risk identification. • Identify qualified resources, conduct simple RFPs, and perform bid analysis. • Recommend resources to managers and clients. • Implement communication plans, facilitate meetings, and prepare reports and minutes. • Ensure documentation governance and maintain data integrity. • Track progress, report status and variances, and develop action plans. • Participate in change management, assess impacts, obtain client approvals, and issue change orders. • Implement risk management routines and develop mitigation strategies. • Support project closeout and handover of documentation. • Conduct facility assessments and update client databases as needed.

What You Bring
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities. • Proficient with Microsoft Office; MS Project knowledge is helpful. • Ability to read architectural drawings and understand construction practices. • Minimum 3–5 years of construction experience; bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred. • Experience with HVAC and mechanical systems is a plus. • On‑site presence required, subject to client needs.
