About the Role

The role involves collaborating with a cross‑functional set of stakeholders across the business to drive improvements in operational buyers' functions within the Center of Excellence. Responsibilities include communicating with schedulers for plan and execution updates, understanding material requirements, processing requisitions, and issuing purchase orders to suppliers. The individual works closely with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery of material to the plant. Key duties include executing exception messages such as postponements, anticipations, or cancellations, and managing internal escalations. The role monitors internal team KPIs, resolves discrepancies with operations, and addresses external supplier issues like delivery problems, claims, and quality concerns. It also evaluates supplier performance (SOTD), implements corrective actions, manages supplier invoicing and payments, maintains inventory levels, coordinates RMA and reverse logistics, and supports engineering change management. • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to enhance operational buyer processes. • Process material requisitions and issue purchase orders to suppliers. • Coordinate plan updates with schedulers and monitor KPI performance. • Manage order exceptions and internal escalations. • Resolve delivery, claim, and quality issues with suppliers. • Evaluate supplier on‑time delivery and drive corrective actions. • Handle supplier invoicing, resolve holds, and ensure timely payments. • Maintain optimal inventory levels with analysts and schedulers. • Oversee RMA and reverse logistics in partnership with Supplier Quality. • Support engineering change (ECN) and phase‑in/out activities. • Utilize digital SCM tools for efficiency and address put‑away problems.

What You Bring

The position utilizes all available digital SCM tools to maximize efficiency and resolves DC/plant put‑away issues. It is based in North America with a shift from 6 PM to 3 AM. Candidates should have 5–7 years of relevant materials planning/SCM experience, a graduate degree (master’s preferred) in Materials, Production, or Operations Management, and strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills for interaction with senior management and supply chain personnel. • Require 5–7 years of materials planning/SCM experience; master’s degree preferred. • Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
