About the Role

The Senior Estimator will prepare material takeoffs, analyze project scope, develop component‑level cost breakdowns, and obtain quotations from vendors. You will also manage historical cost data, maintain estimate logs, collaborate with engineering, procurement and construction teams, and receive mentorship from senior estimators. • Prepare material takeoffs from drawings, plans, and specifications. • Review contractual documents to define project scope, exclusions, and changes. • Develop component‑level cost estimates and perform necessary calculations. • Obtain price quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services. • Collect and organize historical cost data to improve estimate accuracy. • Maintain estimate logs and assist in preparing bid packages and cost summaries. • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure consistent estimating approaches. • Learn from senior estimators and develop knowledge of company procedures and industry best practices.

What You Bring

Parsons is seeking a highly talented Senior Estimator to join our team. In this role you will support the estimation process by performing a variety of estimating tasks on a major project. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and have at least five years of estimating or project controls experience. Strong analytical and mathematical abilities, attention to detail, and familiarity with industry‑standard estimating software are also required. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. • Have at least 5 years of experience in estimating or project controls. • Demonstrate strong analytical, mathematical, and detail‑orientation abilities. • Be familiar with industry‑standard estimating software and tools.
