About the Role
You will also have the chance to line‑manage and mentor junior colleagues and help shape the Environmental Project Management team’s strategic direction. • Develop project proposals, defining scope, resources, schedule and budget estimates. • Prepare and maintain project management documentation such as plans, cost forecasts, risk registers, schedules and stakeholder registers. • Monitor and control project schedules, staff hours, budgets and expenditures, ensuring progress against targets. • Secure health and safety approvals for site visits and manage related compliance. • Oversee contract management and administration, adhering to contractual and scope agreements. • Actively manage change and risk, ensuring governance compliance and project optimisation. • Lead, mentor and develop multi‑disciplinary environmental project teams and suppliers. • Promote delivery of environmental improvement, net‑zero and future‑ready strategies. • Represent WSP’s Environment and Consents discipline to internal teams, clients and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships.

What You Bring
At WSP you can leverage global scale to work on landmark projects, collaborate with top talent, and shape a unique career. • Proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager, preferably in environmental or sustainability sectors. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to keep teams and stakeholders aligned. • Working knowledge of programme management, work breakdown structures, dependencies, critical path and tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6. • Solid commercial and contractual awareness with demonstrated financial acumen and change‑control experience. • Familiarity with professional services contracts (NEC3/4) is advantageous. • Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., PMI, APM, MIEnvSc, MIEMA, MRICS) and chartered status or progress toward it.
