About the Role

• Develop, refine, and optimise protection & control (P&C) solutions, including line, schematic, relay, SCADA, wiring diagrams, design specs, and interface drawings for transmission and distribution clients. • Review supplier designs for technical compliance with National Grid/Client policies and standards. • Act as Owner’s Engineer to assess and comment on supplier designs and calculations for HV clients, including BESS and renewable projects. • Perform protection coordination studies and settings calculations using ETAP or similar software.

What You Bring

• Electrical or power engineering qualification (HNC/HND, BSc/BEng, MSc/MEng). • Knowledge of high‑voltage transmission design processes (National Grid or SSE) and related project experience. • Experience in P&C FEED or detailed design of 132 kV‑400 kV installations. • Strong teamwork and client‑focused communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects flexibly. • Background working with 275 kV/400 kV transmission voltages in consulting, utility, renewable generation, or OEM environments.
