About the Role

• Perform metal stud framing, drywall installation, and acoustical ceiling tile work in commercial projects. • Assist fellow craft workers, clean and prepare job sites, dig trenches, and set up support braces. • Erect scaffolding, clear debris, and safely dispose of non‑hazardous materials. • Operate and maintain construction equipment. • Follow all safety protocols and RQC’s mission, vision, and values.

What You Bring

RQC is seeking a Commercial Drywall and Framing Mechanic – specializing in carpentry, metal stud framing, and drywall – to work at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC. In this hands‑on role you will perform a variety of skilled carpentry tasks using hand and power tools while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient worksite. Qualifications require a high school diploma or GED, at least five years of carpentry experience (rough and finish) and two or more years in commercial construction, preferably on government or large‑scale projects. Experience with steel metal framing is required; acoustical ceiling tile (ACT) experience, CPR and First Aid certifications, and a range of safety trainings are preferred. Preferred training and certifications include forklift/man‑lift, trenching and shoring, fall protection, confined space, lockout/tagout, scissor/boom lift, EM‑385 40‑hour, OSHA 10‑hour, and OSHA 30‑hour. Candidates must provide proof of identity and U.S. work authorization, pass a drug screen, and clear a Department of Defense background check. • Hold a high school diploma/GED, 5+ years carpentry experience, and 2+ years commercial construction experience. • Demonstrated experience with steel metal framing; ACT experience preferred. • Possess CPR/First Aid certifications and any of the listed safety trainings (forklift, trenching, fall protection, confined space, lockout/tagout, scissor/boom lift, EM‑385, OSHA 10‑hour, OSHA 30‑hour).

Benefits

All work is performed on the military base and paid at the Davis‑Bacon prevailing wage rate of $25.00‑$30.00 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) with match, and one week of vacation and sick time. • Earn $25‑$30 per hour under Davis‑Bacon prevailing wage at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. • Receive medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and one week of vacation/sick leave.
