Job Highlights
About the Role
The Cleaner will report to the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services. Work is performed according to the established standards, instructions, and procedures of the company. Typical responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors and other interior surfaces, using both manual methods and commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines. The role also involves vacuuming rugs in offices and public areas, spot‑cleaning daily and shampooing rugs when directed, as well as dusting and cleaning furniture, exhibit cases, picture frames, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces, with periodic high‑dusting as needed. Additional tasks are washing interior windowsills, glass in interior doors, partitions, and designated windows, as well as cleaning entrance door glass and trim. The Cleaner also spot‑cleans interior walls daily, maintains restrooms by cleaning fixtures, restocking paper supplies, and servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, and reports any defects such as clogged urinals or lights out. Trash is collected daily, placed in approved containers, and liners are replaced according to specifications. Snow and ice removal from building entrances, steps, and walkways is performed as directed, and periodic work includes high‑dusting, polishing leather and wood surfaces, and wall washing. Any other duties may be assigned. • Sweep, mop, and wash interior floors and surfaces using manual or commercial equipment. • Operate floor buffers, shampoo machines, and vacuum rugs in offices and public areas. • Dust and clean furniture, exhibit cases, picture frames, door trims, light fixtures, and perform periodic high‑dusting. • Wash interior windows, glass, door trims, and spot‑clean walls as needed. • Clean and restock restrooms, including wiping glass, emptying waste baskets, servicing dispensers, and reporting defects. • Collect and dispose of building trash, replace liners, and manage waste containers. • Remove snow and ice from entrances, steps, and walkways as directed. • Perform periodic polishing, leather and wood surface care, and wall washing.
