About the Role
The successful candidate will drive growth across civil, infrastructure, and bridge‑related projects, cultivate relationships with colleagues, industry peers, and clients, and oversee all phases of structural design, including calculations, submittal packages, and quality control. They will also conduct site investigations, prepare technical reports, and represent the firm in client and contractor meetings. Leadership responsibilities include operating with integrity, setting vision and strategic goals, maintaining open communication with partners and teams, and building lasting client relationships. The Practice Builder will mentor staff, transition work to qualified personnel, and ensure projects are delivered profitably. • Support growth of civil, infrastructure, and bridge practices • Develop and maintain relationships with coworkers, industry peers, and clients • Perform and review structural design calculations and prepare submittal packages • Ensure quality control throughout project lifecycles • Conduct site investigations, document observations, and produce technical reports • Participate in client, owner, contractor, and design team meetings and presentations • Identify new project opportunities through networking • Provide vision, business planning, and strategic direction • Establish clear goals and maintain open communication with partners and team • Build and sustain positive client relationships • Lead and expand a structural‑bridge practice • Manage projects profitably and transition work to qualified staff • Mentor and develop staff, fostering a positive work environment • Autonomously direct and grow the practice with potential for ownership advancement
