About the Role
The Senior DevOps Engineer will work on high‑visibility web applications that serve millions of users. Based in Richmond, VA, the role operates on‑site four days a week with a remote Friday, and partners with product teams to build reliable, scalable infrastructure. The engineer will stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to enhance CoStar’s software products. • Collaborate with product teams to design and manage reliable, scalable systems. • Implement CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tools. • Proactively monitor metrics, apply best practices, and troubleshoot issues. • Design cloud architectures based on project requirements. • Develop processes for integrating emerging technologies. • Build solutions tailored to customer needs. • Mentoring or training other engineers.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. • 5+ years of automation experience (config management, scripting, IaC, security). • 5+ years managing hybrid cloud/on‑prem environments (AWS, Azure, VMware). • Proficiency in at least one programming language (C#, Node.js, Go, Python, Rust). • 4+ years operating highly available environments, CDNs, and load balancers. • 4+ years using monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, AppDynamics). • 4+ years managing container platforms (Kubernetes, ECS/EKS/Fargate). • Experience with Helm, YAML, Terraform, ArgoCD, and Chef. • Linux and Windows systems expertise. • Development experience in a coding language. • Familiarity with PCI compliance and remediation. • Experience with REST APIs or microservices.
