About the Role
The Senior Firmware Engineer will join the Electronics Team to design next‑generation IoT firmware platforms, shape firmware architecture across product lines, and help launch new electronic products. The role involves daily collaboration with embedded engineers, product managers, software teams, and IT, while providing direction to lower‑level firmware engineers and contractors. • Own delivery of firmware for new projects and IoT platforms. • Direct lower‑level firmware engineers and software engineering contractors. • Design and develop firmware for new products and sustain existing ones. • Define firmware architecture that enables feature reuse, scalability, and cross‑segment applicability. • Develop data models to gain insights on customer usage and installation environments. • Participate in consumer research, conceptualization workshops, and field failure analysis to inform design improvements. • Support project scoping, work‑plan development, and model robust firmware engineering practices.

What You Bring
• BSEE, CE, CS, ET degree or equivalent. • 5+ years of engineering and technical design experience with proven product development. • Mastery of embedded firmware design, development, and testing in C/C++. • Expertise in motor control loops, algorithms, and wireless technologies (Wi‑Fi, BLE, Thread). • Strong knowledge of I2C, USB, UART, SPI interfaces and RTOS implementations (FreeRTOS, Zephyr). • Experience building embedded IoT solutions for AWS and Microsoft Azure. • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Agile project management, and electronic schematics/PCBA verification.
