Senior Product and Technical Service Technician

About the Role

Daily duties involve following established processes, completing assigned tasks on time, and maintaining a clean work site while keeping the customer informed of progress. Technicians will inspect units, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, prepare job completion certificates and technical reports, and estimate labor and material needs. Work includes repairing or replacing components, adjusting control systems, installing, commissioning and troubleshooting VRF equipment, and recognising and controlling safety hazards, with escalation to supervisors when required. • Follow standard work processes and complete tasks within scheduled timeframes. • Maintain a clean work site and communicate task progress to customers. • Prepare job completion certificates, job cards and EH&S site surveys. • Inspect, diagnose and recommend repairs for air‑conditioning units. • Estimate labor hours and material requirements for jobs. • Repair or replace damaged parts and adjust internal control systems. • Install, inspect, commission and troubleshoot VRF systems. • Identify safety hazards and implement appropriate controls. • Escalate complex issues to supervisors or managers as needed. • Participate in regular EH&S and technical training sessions.

What You Bring

The position requires a diploma (or equivalent) in Air‑Conditioning & Refrigeration and three to five years of hands‑on experience in the HVAC field, including work with VRF systems. Candidates should possess solid knowledge of HVAC maintenance and repair practices, safety procedures, MSDS handling and basic metal‑sheet, electrical, carpentry and building‑automation concepts. Strong English communication skills, a team‑oriented mindset and a customer‑focused attitude are essential, and a valid driving licence is an advantage. • Hold a diploma or equivalent in Air‑Conditioning & Refrigeration. • Have 3–5 years of HVAC experience, preferably with VRF systems. • Possess knowledge of HVAC maintenance, safety practices and MSDS handling. • Demonstrate good English speaking, writing, reading and listening skills. • Be a team player with strong interpersonal and customer‑service abilities. • Understand basic metal‑sheet work, electrical, carpentry and building‑automation controls.
