About the Role
• Lead safety culture, mentor staff, and investigate incidents. • Manage pre‑start checklist and support preconstruction tasks such as quantity take‑off and scope development. • Plan and execute the buyout schedule, verify pricing, and issue subcontracts. • Oversee submittal schedule, review and approve shop drawings and samples. • Coordinate logistics for material and equipment pricing. • Work with risk management to secure approvals and conduct ongoing subcontractor risk analysis. • Interface with all project stakeholders, including subcontractors, owners, designers, and vendors. • Distribute change requests, gather and evaluate subcontractor pricing, and obtain owner/architect approvals. • Conduct regular project meetings, including monthly reviews and Owner‑Architect‑Contractor sessions. • Process monthly subcontractor and owner pay applications. • Develop and maintain project schedules using Lean principles, identifying and mitigating schedule impacts. • Document decisions impacting budget, schedule, quality, safety, and legal matters. • Provide regular project status and profitability reporting. • Prepare monthly cost and margin forecasts and monitor budget performance. • Lead project close‑out, managing punch lists, final financials, warranties, and contracts. • Collaborate with legal counsel as needed. • Identify, assess, and manage project risks. • Manage the project business plan to maximize financial success. • Implement and oversee operation and administration of moderately complex projects. • Diagnose problems and recommend solutions. • Manage deliverables from internal resources such as IPS, logistics, and self‑perform teams. • Engage in business, industry, and community activities to build external relationships. • Apply Lean processes, manage budgets, maximize profitability, and foster relationships.

What You Bring
Within JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group, the Project Manager 2 leads moderately complex construction projects or portions of larger initiatives, fully implementing project operations and administration while supporting the firm’s strategy, vision, and values. This role operates with defined authority, consults supervisors as needed, and offers a career path toward Senior Project Manager. The position requires a valid unrestricted driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and flexibility to work non‑traditional hours, travel, and occasional exposure to extreme conditions. Work environments may include project sites or office settings, with a mix of sedentary and physical activities. • Understand estimating from concept through GMP development. • Perform work accurately, completely, and timely; communicate effectively in writing and presentations. • Proficient in MS Office, project management/accounting software, construction technology, and scheduling tools. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Possess 7+ years of construction management experience. • Maintain a valid unrestricted driver’s license; able to lift up to 25 lb and work non‑traditional hours; travel may be required.
